🃏Art card trade night🃏

♠️Have you ever heard of an ACEO?♣️

Well, it’s just a long complicated way to say, an original art card!

Starting way back in the 90’s, artists used to make small original paintings/drawings, and hand them out at art shows. Or trade with fellow artists.

And now you can do the same!

Join us for a fun evening of drawing and trading.

✒️Draw as many cards as you can, keep them, or trade with others!✒️

Haille Dockery will be your instructor. She will help you make your cards, and bring your ideas to life!

Haille will also be bringing a selection of cards to trade as well! 

✂️All materials are included.🎨

Card sleeves will be provided, but you can bring your own sleeves and top loaders.

Materials will be provided, however feel free to bring your own art supplies.

No oil based materials please.

🎨If you are anything like me, you LOVE paint!🎨

You love it so much that you think to yourself: Hey, how do they even make that?

Well not to worry! That’s why I am here!

My name is Haille and I am here to teach you everything about paint!

Join me for a fun evening, in this 2 hour long workshop! 

You will learn everything I know about paint making, and will create your own water colour paints that you get to take home and enjoy.

🦋And hopefully it inspires you to continue to make paint on your own!🦋

Price per person: $35

Make up to 2 jars of paint, $5 per extra jar of paint

🖌All materials are included, however you may bring these things to class.🖌

Any old containers( Preferably glass)

Your own pigments: you will learn about natural pigments. So please feel free to bring something that you want to test out! For example; Turmeric is often used in natural dye making and may be useful to make paint with. But you don’t know unless you try!

You will be making multiple paints in the class. Please be kind to other participants, as we will have to share some tools and materials.

You will also be provided with paper to swatch your paints!

All ages are welcome!

However,

‼️This class is NOT suitable for those under 5.‼️

We will be using materials that can be irritating to eyes and skin. Please keep that in mind if you are bringing little ones. I would suggest bringing latex gloves if you have sensitive skin!

All sales are final.

If the HOST cancels the event, participants will be refunded in full.

🌸Mothers Day Paint and Sip🌸

There is so much work that goes unnoticed in motherhood. Mothers are expected to carry the weight of the family, often going unnoticed by their husbands. Afterall, who plans and creates the magic behind holidays, even mothers day. 

Anna Jarvis noticed this. She watched as her mother worked and worked, with little to no acknowledgment. And it broke her heart. After the death of her own mother she decided things needed to change. She pushed hard for a day to celebrate all the unnoticed labour that went into being a mother. Choosing the second Sunday of May, as it was closest to her mothers death.

However, she would later renounce this day. Fighting to stop the very holiday she created. 

Join us Saturday May 9th, the anniversary of her mothers death, as we learn more about how mothers day came to be.

All guests will be painting a still life painting of white carnations. Anna’s mother's favorite flower, and the flower she handed out on the first mothers day.

💐Guests are welcome to bring in their own objects to paint. Something significant to them or their mothers. You may also bring a vase or vessel that holds significance to you.💐

The ‘sip’ portion of the event will be various teas by different female owned tea companies.

A very Poyo Craft Party!

🎨If you are anything like me, you LOVE Kirby so muuuuchhh!🎨

You love kirby so much that you would die for Kirby!

Ok, well maybe not that intense…

But still you love that very pink and round hungry buddy.

Well get ready for a fun afternoon of kirby crafts!

We will make several fun Kirby crafts throughout the afternoon.

Paintings, drawings, and if you really want to test your skill, some sculpting and fiber crafts!

You will learn everything I know about making cute Kirby crafts, and then get to take them home!

🦋And hopefully it inspires you to continue to make more Kirby’s on your own!🦋

There is no limit on the crafts to be made. However, we ask that you limit yourself for each craft so everyone can get a chance to create!

🖌All materials are included, however you may bring you own art materials.🖌

Feel free to bring paper, pencils, stickers, and any water based mediums. Into fiber arts? Feel free to bring your own yarn and felt.

❌However, NO oil based mediums.❌

You will be making multiple crafts. Please be kind to other participants, as we will have to share some tools and materials.

All ages are welcome!

Children under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by a guardian.
